Cyber Garden is what coffee shops should be: warm, inviting, and full of comfy chairs and reading nooks. The space is separated into four or five little conversation areas, each with three or four chairs and a coffee table. This set up invites customers to sit, chat, read, and generally take a break from life. It's a soft and comfortable environment, and the slower pace makes this coffee shop more relaxing than most. The coffee was fine. ($1.75 for a large served in a ceramic mug.) But it's really the atmosphere that sets this place apart from other coffee joints. As you might guess from the name, Cyber Garden offers free wifi with purchase and you can also rent computers for a small fee. The coffee shop is attached to a (Nepalese?) restaurant, and on slow days the two function as a one-man operation. I can't vouch for the food in the restaurant -- it seemed rather dead -- but I did love the coffee shop. And the barrista was helpful and friendly. This place was a nice break from the tourist bricabrac shops that populate the rest of Lincoln City.

Great coffee! Highly recommend, the service is excellent. Thank you for the nice experience.

As far as I can tell, this business is connected to, part of, or perhaps just what evolved into the Nepali Kitchen, which is the business next door and connected to this building internally.... with a large coffee bar. And since I didn't go in looking for connectivity -- I can't speak to the available WiFi -- --my phone hooked me up to Yelp with no problems. :D The best things this place has going for it are the coffee and the atmosphere. -- and the coffee is outstanding. On a chilly morning, it arrived in a large cup with plenty of cream -- and was perfect. I love the heavy stoneware mugs/cups that keep it hot (and double as hand warmers) -- Some of the best coffee I've had here -- hot, strong, and well balanced. Parking can be a challenge -- on the crowded curb of NE Hwy 101 -- so you may have to walk a little.

This is an odd place in that is more a Nepalese restaurant than a coffee bar. The following make espresso drinks on all sorts from a bar but all other aspects are the restaurant. Our "barista" was the owners Don, say about 12 years old. I enjoyed my Breve well enough (3 stars) but my wife disliked her latte.

Warm, comfortable and friendly. The house chai was super tasty. The owner (Dan) is a nice guy who goes out of his way make you feel at home. The $2 Wifi charge is waved if you spend $4 on anything.

Poor customer service. Perhaps The Cyber Garden is under new ownership because I didn't receive the warm, welcoming customer service that Thomas describes. (Their website cybergardencafe.com doesn't appear to be functioning anymore.) I ordered a cup of the $1.35 Wandering Goat Coffee roast from Eugene, Oregon. I didn't receive a 'thank you' from the man running the shop. I sat down in a comfy leather seat beside the window and prepared for some net surfing and coffee sipping. ****record screech***** As I pull out my laptop the man stops me and says "Internet is two dollars". My laptop wasn't even out of my messenger bag. I say "I have my own", he replies "it doesn't matter" thinking I meant I had my own computer. I reiterate "I have my own Internet with Verizon". "Oh, okay" he responds without apology. How does he know I wasn't going to work offline? I am showing Karate Kid like discipline by not calling this guy a name. I drink about half my coffee, which was quite tasty, and couldn't exit this place fast enough. ___Wandering Goat Coffee__ wanderinggoat.com

Some policies just strike me as a slap in the face. And this coffee house and tea bar in Lincoln City, managed to hit a couple of my hot buttons. While I can see the owner's point of view (maximizing profits, minimizing hassles, etc.), my view as a consumer is that, gosh, maybe customer service isn't your forte. In a sea of ticky-tacky stores in the Bayside section of Lincoln City, The Cyber Garden looks like a nice place to hangout. It is spacious and had a bit of an environmental 70s vibe going on when I visited. The two policies that bugged me... -- $2 charge for wi-fi -- no change smaller than a quarter for payment The first one just struck me as odd in this day and age. There are so many places where you get free wi-fi, it just seemed out of place. And the second is just silly. My coffee was fine and the best part of the experience was the name of my drink, the Johnny Cash. Their house blend with a shot of espresso. The problem was the rest of the experience left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Great find - we stumbled on this gem looking for wi-fi and ended up enjoying a delicious meal of curry chicken & gwarcha (dumpling) with our authentic chai's. Family business where you feel welcomed -

I feel it's worth pointing out that the $2 charge for wifi only applies if you spend less than $4. This isn't the best place for long-term studying or working for me, since as a tall guy I find chair/table setups harder to work at than a good lounge chair or sofa. Other than that quibble: great service, great chai, good vibes. Nice to settle in at a cafe that isn't always playing Top 40 pop songs. Instead, there was the Nepali equivalent. (it would be a crime to not buy any food from the Nepali Kitchen at the same location. Cafe alone gets 4 stars, but the Kitchen WITH the cafe is a 5 star combo). Street parking is limited to 2 hours during the day, but a block away is an ample free parking lot. I also ordered a bagel with cream cheese. The amount of cream cheese was paltry. Barely enough for both halves. That was disappointing. Not many other pastries or snacks seemed to be available. But honestly--save your appetite for the Nepali food!

I cannot tell you what a welcome relief it was to find a place like the Cyber Garden in Lincoln City; in a tourist-trap town, reknowned for its countless junk shops, mediocre restaurants and crowded beaches, this gem stands apart as a true example of quality service and product. So many of the other shops in along the HWY 101 stretch are just abyssmal; no imagination in presentation, terrible knick-knacks and more, but the Cyber Garden is a welcome oasis: a relaxing, well-decorated interior greets you when you first enter. The finery is well-placed and pleasant - not the least bit ostentatious, and helps you forget the mediocrity that lurks just outside of its doors. I had a simple mocha, which was both rich and flavorful as well as perfectly-steamed. The owner seems to have developed a great deal of knowledge on the subject of reading his customers and determining their comfort level regarding temperature; mine was not the only comment I heard on the matter when listening to the other patrons in the shop. Like many other coffee shops, the Cyber Garden has an array of desserts and others that I did not (alas) have the opportunity to try, but they also sound (and smell!) very tasty. Considering the shop also allows for you to use their internet stations for a nominal fee, finding this place was true serendipity! If you're in Lincoln City, definitely give it a look! It is quiet, comfortable, and the staff is very friendly. I know I will spend a lot of time here if ever I am back in Lincoln City...for whatever reason...

Nice atmosphere - wood burning stove, sunny, wood-beamed ceiling and a good vibe, nice people. I was on vacation so there was no need for internet, but if there was $2 seems fair to support a small business. Friendly owner mans the counter and has been in business there for 6 years. Lots of coffee shops come and go in Lincoln City, I'm glad to find a good one that'll be here on my next visit.
